MOSCOW, March 26 - Platinum Bank (Kiev) plans to shut down its business in Crimea and put its credit portfolio in the region up for sale, the Kommersant newspaper reported on Wednesday.


Ukraine's new leaders say they'll raise gas prices 50% in May

KIEV, March 26 - Ukraine's new leaders, in a step the ousted government had balked at, said on Wednesday it would raise the price of gas for domestic consumers by more than 50% from May 1 and would raise prices further under a fixed timetable to 2018, Reuters reported.


NBU: Ukraine balance of payments surplus hit $1.3 billion in February

KIEV, March 25 – The surplus of Ukraine's balance of payments in February 2013 was estimated at $1.3 billion, while in February 2012 there was a deficit of $55 million, the National Bank of Ukraine said.

Ukrainian consumer confidence down in February, GfK Ukraine reports

KIEV, March 25 - February was marked by a dip in the consumer confidence of Ukrainians, according to a monthly survey by GfK Ukraine.

The Consumer Confidence Index was 83.7 points, which is 1.2 points lower than in January.
