Fuhrlander mulls building 250-MW wind farm in Chornobyl exclusion zone
KRAMATORSK, March 23 - Fuhrlander Windtechnology LLC is mulling the issue of building a wind farm with the total installed capacity of around 250 MW in the Chornobyl exclusion zone, Deputy Director for Commercial Issues of Fuhrlander Windtechnology Yuriy Shevchenko told reporters during his visit to Kramatorsk organized by Ecoaction and Germanwatch on Thursday. |
Ukraine to create DAPRA-like agency for high-tech in defense sector
KYIV, March 26 – Ukraine will create an agency of advanced technologies to implement new technologies in the defense industry, Ukroboronprom state concern director Pavlo Bukin said.
The agency, which will be modeled on DARPA of the U.S., will be created at at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, or KPI. |
NBU asks law enforcement to respond to actions against Russian banks
KIEV, March 23 - The National Bank of Ukraine has asked law enforcement agencies to respond to the continued blocking of work of Ukrainian banks with Russian state capital, carried out by "aggressively-minded groups of people," as this reduces confidence in the Ukrainian banking system and jeopardizes its stability, NBU Deputy head Yekateryna Rozhkova said. |
EBRD expresses concern over seizure of 2,400 freight train wagons
