Ukraine’s 2022 industrial output down 36.9% on year amid war

KYIV, March 27 – Industrial production in Ukraine in 2022 fell by 36.9%, while in 2021 an increase of 1.9% was recorded, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported on Monday.

The statistical office said that in December 2022 compared with December 2021, industrial production in Ukraine decreased by 44.1%, while in November the decline was 41.9%, and in October it was 41.6%.

NBU, World Bank propose steps to harmonize Ukraine banking laws

KYIV, March 26 – A working group, including the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), the Deposit Guarantee Fund (DGF) and the World Bank, proposed the key steps towards harmonization of national laws with EU Directives, specifically with Directive 2014/59/EU, establishing a framework for bank recovery and resolution (BRRD), the NBU reported.
