Poltava's GOK reports top 2015 showing among CIS metals companies

KIEV, Jan. 26 - Poltava Mining and Processing Plant (Poltava GOK, Komsomolsk, Poltava region), controlled by British Ferrexpo Plc, in 2015 exported 11.494 million tons of pellets to Europe and the Middle East, as well as Japan and China, retaining the first place in terms of production and exports of these goods among similar enterprises in the CIS countries.

Ukraine GDP drop accelerated markedly in Q4, government reports

KIEV, Jan. 31 – Ukraine's GDP in the fourth quarter of 2012 dropped by 2.7% compared to the fourth quarter of 2011, whereas in the third quarter it decreased by 1.2%, according to the State Statistics Service.

According to the service, given the GDP growth in the first and second quarters by 2% and 3%, respectively, the country's economy for 2012 grew by 0.2%.


Ukrainians’ utility debts rose 1.4% last month, government reports

KIEV, Jan. 30 – The debt of the Ukrainian population for housing and utility services grew by 1.4% in December compared to November and amounted to UAH 11.978 billion, the State Statistics Service has said.


Group of MPs propose special taxation regime for IT companies

KIEV, Jan. 30 - A group of MPs has proposed the creation of a special regime of taxation for IT companies to ensure there are the proper economic conditions for their development.

Relevant draft law No. 9744 on amending the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding a special taxation regime for IT companies, dated January 23, has been posted on the Parliament Web site.
