Ukraine boosts 4% on year power exports in January

KYIV, Feb 28 - Ukraine in January increased exports of electricity by 4% (by 19.7 million kWh) compared to the same period of 2018, to 511.5 million kWh, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry reportes.


DTEK to borrow EUR 90-min from German banks for renewable projects

Energoatom net profit fell 77.8% in 2016, state nuclear company says

KIEV, Feb. 27 – Energoatom in 2016 saw a 77.8% fall in net profit, to UAH 187.126 million.

According to a report posted on the company's website, its net revenue in January-September 2016 grew by 9.6%, to UAH 36.068 billion, while gross profit fell by 22.7%, to UAH 5.724 billion.


Wage arrears reported up 6.5% in January to UAH1.908 trillion

KIEV, Feb. 28 – Wage arrears in Ukraine increased by 6.5% in January 2017 and on February 1, 2017 amounted to UAH 1.908 trillion.

According to the State Statistics Service, wage arrears at economically active enterprises in January decreased by 22.2% or by UAH 248 million and on February 1, 2017 amounted to UAH 870.3 million.


Railway blockade forces Donetsksteel Group metallurgical plant closure

KIEV, Feb. 27 - The Donetsk metallurgical plant, part of Donetsksteel Group, on Monday stopped operating its only active blast furnace, N1, over lack of iron ore as a result of a railway blockade in the disengagement zone and discontinued supplies of the raw material.
