DTEK in $1.95-bn debt restructuring talks
KYIV, March 31 - Ukraine’s largest coal producer DTEK said Tuesday it started talks with international creditors over restructuring of debts, the latest sign of stress on the company from the coronavirus pandemic. |
Yaroslavsky creates DCH Steel to manage steel, mining assets
KYIV, March 29 – The DCH Group, uniting assets of Ukrainian businessman Oleksandr Yaroslavsky, under a strategy of increasing effectiveness of the mining and metal business has created DCH Steel, which will manage the respective assets: Dniprovsky Metallurgical Combine (DMZ, Dnipro) and Sukha Balka ore mining enterprise (Kryvy Rih). |
Ukrnafta shareholders vote to replace Rollins with Hez
KYIV, March 28 – The shareholders of Ukrnafta, the country’s largest oil company, at a meeting on March 28 voted for the early termination of office of chairman of the board Mark Rollins from April 30, and electing Oleh Hez acting chairman, as well as reshuffled the supervisory board including independent members in it, sources said. |

Sea Ports Authority seeks investors for LNG terminal project
KYIV, March 28 – The Reni branch of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority is mulling a possibility of attracting an investor for the implementation of a public private partnership project on the creation of a terminal for accepting, accumulating, storing and bunkering vessels with liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the Reni seaport. |
Kness Group plans to build 500 MW of solar power plant capacity in 2019
KYIV, March 29 – Kness Group, a large EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractor in Ukraine, plans to build around 500 MW of capacities of solar power plants in 2019 for various investors, boosting the volume of projects implemented by the company to 1 GW, Kness Group co-founder Yevhen Didichenko said on Thursday during the discussion devoted to the renewable energy in details organized by Golaw law firm. |
