Energy commission to streamline regulations after alternative energy bill

KYIV, June 26 – The National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER) is planning to streamline its regulations with the amendments to the law on alternative energy sources, which took effect on May 22, and to regulate the setting of feed-in tariffs for solar and wind power plants at households.


Ukraine increases power exports 2.3% on year in January-May

KYIV, June 26 – Ukraine in January-May 2019 increased electricity exports by 2.3% (by 60 million kWh) compared to the same period in 2018, to 2.713 billion kWh, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry has told Interfax-Ukraine.

KIEV, June 30 – Ukraine needs to design a balanced strategy to treat spent nuclear fuel, the State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation said.
