Ukrainian firms increase flour exports 20.1% on year in 2022/2023
KYIV, Oct 30 - Ukrainian flour millers in the 2022/2023 marketing year (MY) increased flour exports to 149,700 tons, which is 20.1% higher than the pre-war 2020/2021 MY, when it reached 124,600 tons, said the head of the audit commission of the public union Flour Millers of Ukraine, Serhiy Sakirkin.

Metinvest reports net loss of $1.69-bln in Jan-Jun vs. profit last year
KYIV, Oct 31 - Metinvest B.V. (the Netherlands), the parent company of the international vertically integrated mining and metallurgical group Metinvest, in January-June of this year posted a net loss of $1.698 billion, while in the same period last year it received a net profit of $2.769 billion.

Ukraine offers 10-bln cu m in gas storage capacity to foreign traders
KYIV, Oct 28 – Ukraine is ready to provide foreign customers with up to 40% (about 10 billion cubic meters) of the capacity of its underground gas storage (UGS) facilities to create strategic reserves of natural gas, Head of the UGS Operator of Ukraine Serhiy Pereloma said at the Ukrainian Gas Forum held in Kyiv.

Energoatom buys capacity for power imports from Belarus for stable operation
KYIV, Oct 29 – Ukraine’s nuclear power generating company Energoatom explained its participation in an auction on access to interstate sections for importing power from Belarus by the need to create a capacity reserve, taking into account the increasing load on nuclear power plants in conditions of fuel shortage among thermal generation companies and high prices for it in world markets.

Ukrainian ferroalloy producers ask govt to slap duties on Russian imports
KYIV, Oct 29 – The Ukrainian Association of Producers of Ferroalloys and Other Electrometallurgical Products (UkrFA) has applied to government agencies with a proposal to introduce special duties on import of ferroalloys from Russia due to non-competitive conditions and damage to domestic producers.
