Philip Morris may resume cigarette exports from Ukraine
LVIV, May 30 – Philip Morris Ukraine is considering resuming cigarette exports from Ukraine, particularly to geographically close countries, CEO Maksym Barabash announced during a roundtable discussion titled "Key Issues of Ukraine's Economic Recovery and the Role of Government and Business Structures in the Process" held at the company's new production facility in Lviv region. |
Ukraine invokes moratorium on debt payments as war with Russia continues
KYIV, May 30 – The holders of GDP warrants of Ukraine from June 2 this year will be entitled to a payment of $205.43 for every $1,000 of the face value of these securities, but Ukraine will adhere to the moratorium introduced on August 27 last year until their restructuring is completed, the stock exchange report says. |
Naftogaz announces deals to restructure two default Eurobonds by end-July
KYIV, May 31 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny has announced agreements with investors to restructure two default eurobond issues by the end of July: for $375 million maturing in July 2022 and $500 million due in November 2026, agreeing to some improvement in conditions for holders of these securities compared with the offer of March 10.

Ukrainian start-ups attracted $779.6-mln in funding in 2021, up 46% on year
KYIV, May 31 – In 2021, Ukrainian startups attracted venture capital investments in 216 transactions for a record amount of $779.6 million, which is 46% more than in 2020, these are the results of the Ukraine Deal Review 2021 annual study conducted by the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA) in partnership with Kreston Ukraine, AVentures and ISE Corporate Accelerator.
