Ukraine to introduce exchange-based coal commodity trading in 2011-12

Moody's assigns B2 rating to Euro 2012 infrastructure enterprise

FRANKFURT AM MAIN, Oct. 29 - Moody's Investors Service has assigned a long-term rating of B2 to the foreign currency debt issued by the Ukrainian state enterprise in charge of providing infrastructure to the Euro 2012 championships, citing “very strong support from the Ukrainian government.”


Ukraine’s YTD budget deficit tops UAH24 billion through Sept. 30

KIEV, Oct. 30 – The deficit of Ukraine's national budget in January-September came to UAH 24.037 billion, while the deficit of the consolidated budget reached UAH 24.568 billion.

The Finance Ministry says that in September the deficit of the national budget soared by 46%, or UAH 7.61 billion, while the deficit of the consolidated budget grew by 47% or UAH 7.872 billion.

Experts inspect nuclear fuel batch produced by Westinghouse

KIEV, Oct. 31 - An international group of experts has carried out a regular inspection of an experimental batch of nuclear fuel produced by U.S.-based Westinghouse, which has been carrying out checks of the core of the Yuzhnoukrainsk nuclear plant's third reactor since August 2005, said EnergoAtom, the operator of Ukraine's nuclear power plants, on Wednesday.


Ukrainians call Italy’s UIA ban response to AlItalia restrictions

KIEV, Nov. 1 - The Italian aviation authority's ban on flights of Kiev-based Ukrainian International Airlines to Rome and Milan are a response to Ukraine's restrictions on Italian carrier AlItalia, according to the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine.
