Housing prices in Kiev to grow 30-40% by late 2007, says executive
KIEV, Aug. 31 – Housing prices in Kiev will grow 30-40% by late 2007, Kiev-based Miskzhytlobud President Denys Kostrzhevsky told Interfax-Ukraine.
"The fall is a traditional time for more activity on the real estate market, and the early elections will influence prices. The more elections that are held, the higher house prices go, as the money pumped into the economy stimulates demand for apartments," he said. |
EU’s EUR 50-bln facility to help Ukraine rebuild agriculture sector

Zaporizhstal increases 14.4% shipment of rolled products in Jan-July
KYIV, Aug 1 – In January-July of 2023, Zaporizhstal increased the shipment of rolled products by 14.4% compared to the same period last year, to 1.04 million tons.
According to the information of the enterprise on Tuesday, steel production during this period increased by 24.5%, to 1.26 million tons, hot metal – by 10.6%, to 1.408 million tons.

Ukraine’s Business Activity Index drops amid higher power tariffs: NBU
KYIV, Aug 1 – The business activity expectations index (BAEI), which the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) calculates on a monthly basis, after three months of being in above its neutral level of 50 points (from 50.5 to 51.5 points) in July fell by 2 points to the level of 48.8 on a scale from zero to 100.
