Gazprom pays Ukraine more than actual gas shipment in January: GTSOU

KYIV, Feb 3 – Russia’s Gazprom paid the Ukrainian gas pipeline operator for shipping 5.52 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe in January, but moved only 2.55 Bcm, Serhiy Makogon, the head of GTSOU, reported.


Naftogaz to return UAH 15-bln worth of gas to Ukrnafta to end dispute

Ukrainian ag exports to EU up 8.7% on year to $6.3-bln in 2018

KYIV, Jan 31 – Ukrainian agricultural exports to the EU countries in 2018 increased by 8.7% compared to the same period last year, to $6.3 billion.

According to the report on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, traditionally the top five trade partners of Ukraine in the field of agriculture among the EU countries included the Netherlands, to which Ukrainian goods worth $1.2 billion were exported last year, Spain with $1.04 million, Italy with $737.9 million, Germany with $667.4 million, and Poland with $656.7 million.


Japanese investors mull building 1.2 GW of solar power capacity in Chernobyl

KYIV, Jan 31 - Ukrainian enterprises in 2018 increased consumption of rolled metal goods by 6.36% compared with 2017, to 5.368 million tons, according to the Ukrmetalurgprom association.
