Ukraine’s exports of goods in May down 0.5% on month to $3.34-bln
KYIV, June 3 – Exports of goods from Ukraine in May 2024 amounted to $3.34 billion, which is only 0.5% less than in April, despite a reduction in its physical terms by 6.9%, to 12.2 million tons, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka said.

Ukraine’s grain, oilseed output expected to drop 8.5% on year in 2023
KYIV, June 1 – The total gross harvest of grains and oilseeds in Ukraine in 2023 is expected to reach 68 million tons, which is 8.5% less than in 2022 when it was 73.8 million tons, and 36% less, than in 2021 (106 million tons), such a forecast was published by the Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA).

Ukraine’s business activity index drops in May, but remains positive
KYIV, June 1 – The Business Activity Expectations Index (BAEI), calculated by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), after continuous growth in February-April in total from 37.5 to 51.5, slightly decreased in May to 50.5, but remained positive half of the scale (zero to 100).

Energoatom may earn $1-bln annually from selling power to EU
KYIV, June 2 – The resumption of operation of the Khmelnitsky NPP – Rzeszow interstate power transmission line will increase cross-border electricity trade between countries and enable Ukraine to receive more than EUR 1 billion in profit annually, NPC Ukrenergo has said.
