Ukraine’s largest bridge builder in talks with US co to raise funds

ZAPORIZHIA, Feb. 3 – Ukraine's largest bridge construction company, Kiev-based OJSC Mostobud, which is a general contractor in a project to build a viaduct across the Dnieper River in Zaporizhia, is in talks with the U.S. Sunland Group Corporation on raising a loan for construction projects.


Motor Sich to boost helicopter shipments to Russia 20% this year

KIEV, Feb. 4 – Zaporizhia-based engine-producer Motor Sich is to increase its supply of helicopter engines to Russia by 20% in 2009, CEO and General Director of the company Viacheslav Bohuslayev has said.

"We are planning to supply 400 engines this year," he told journalists in Kiev on Tuesday.


AMC allows TBIH Financial Services Group to buy stake in UIG

Arcelor Mittal Kryviy Rih boosts net sales by 30.6% in 2007

KRYVY RIH, Feb. 1 - Arcelor Mittal Kryviy Rih increased net sales by 30.6% to UAH18.8 billion in 2007, Ukraine's biggest steelmaker reported.

Production rose 6% to 7.2 million tons of pig iron, 7.1% to 8.1 million tons of crude steel and 3.8% to 7.1 million tons of commercial rolled products.

Italy’s Intesa Sanpaolo agrees to buy Pravex Bank for EUR504 million
