Ukraine replaced 70% of Russian-made components in defense sector

KYIV, March 4 – The program on import substitution of Russian components in defense industry initiated by the Ukroboronprom state concern in the conditions of breaking off defense cooperation with Russia due to the annexation of Crimea and the war in Donbas, has been implemented by 70%, Ukroboronprom Head Pavlo Bukin said.

Ukraine creates to team to recover $6-bln in assets from Gazprom

Ukraine’s capital city expands boundaries for 1st time in 60 years

KIEV, March 1 – Kiev City Council has approved new borders of the city, including forests at the village of Kotsiubynske in its territory.

Seventy-four deputies voted for this decision.

Director of the land resources department of Kiev City State Administration Viktor Petruk reported that the last time Kiev's borders were approved was in 1953, when its area was 83,558 hectares.

Cabinet proposes to start reducing laundry product phosphates in 2014

KIEV, March 1 – The Cabinet of Ministers has proposed, starting in 2014, to gradually reduce the permissible level of phosphates in synthetic cleaning products made, imported or sold in Ukraine, with the limit on the content of phosphates at 0.7% by 2021.
