Ukraine’s steel sector records major exports reduction in three years

KYIV, March 5 – The metal rolling industry from 2021 to 2024 experienced the largest reduction in exports among all industries in Ukraine, reaching $5.4 billion, said Deputy Minister of Economy - Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka.

Ukraine reports 18.6% increase in payment card transactions in 2020

KYIV, March 3 – The total number of transactions using payment cards issued by Ukrainian banks in 2020 increased by 18.6%, to 5.997 billion units, and their amount by 10.6%, to UAH 3.957 trillion, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said on Wednesday.


Zaporizhstal reduces output 3% on year in February 2020

KYIV, March 3 – Zaporizhstal, one of the biggest steel making companies, one of the largest taxpayers in Ukraine and in Zaporizhia region, in January-February 2020 reduced output by 3% compared to the same period in 2019, to 562,500 tons.
