Ukraine’s economy is likely to contract 11.3% on year in Q2, NBU reports

KYIV, May 5 – Ukraine’s economy, hit by coronavirus pandemic, will probably contract 11.3% on the year in the second quarter, compared with 0.5% contraction in the first quarter, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reported Tuesday.

Ukraine increases natural gas imports from Slovakia on May 1

EBRD mulls $7-mln loan to Energopark Yavoriv to build solar power plant

KYIV, May 2 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) intends to consider granting a loan in the amount of EUR7 million to Energopark Yavoriv LLC for the construction of the second stage of Yavoriv solar power plant with a capacity of 36 MW.


PrivatBank’s loan portfolio increases to UAH 212.8-bln at end of 2018

KYIV, May 2 – PrivatBank's loan portfolio (Kyiv), which is classified as the one associated with the previous shareholders according to National Bank resolution No. 315 of 2015, reached UAH 212.8 billion at the end of 2018 compared to UAH 185.58 billion at the end of 2017, according to the bank's annual audited statements on its website.


Pasta maker blames $100 million loss on Russian Crimea, Donbas moves

KIEV, May 5 – Large flour, bread and pasta producer Lauffer Group's property losses because of the Russian annexation of Crimea and occupation of Donbas in eastern Ukraine are tentatively estimated at about UAH 2.5 billion (about $100 million), the company said in a statement.

KIEV, May 5 - Ukraine has not given up its Russian debt liabilities worth $3 billion. A moratorium on the repayment of the debt was dictated by objective circumstances and the nature of that loan, Ukraine's Ambassador-at-Large Dmytro Kuleba said.
