Ukraine to supply 10 rocket engines to Italian Avio SpA for EUR 6-mln
KYIV, April 30 – Pivdenne (Yuzhnoye) Design Bureau, Makarov Pivdenny (Yuzhny) Machine-Building Plant (Pivdenmash, Dnipro) and Italian Avio SpA have reached an agreement on additional supplies of 10 Ukrainian-made propulsion engine blocks for the Vega launch vehicle (LV) for a total amount of almost EUR 6 million, according to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Kobolev says $2-bln accumulated by Naftogaz is real reason for reshuffle
KYIV, May 5 – Former head of the board of Naftogaz Ukrainy Andriy Kobolev denies accusations of allegedly creating a "hole" in the 2021 state budget of UAH 10 billion, considers the accumulated $2 billion of free funds as the real reason for his dismissal, although the company informed the president and the government about the plans to transfer UAH 32 billion in addition to taxes to the state this year.

Ukraine issues $1.25-bln 2029 eurobond that yields 6.875%, ministry says
KYIV, May 5 – On 30 April 2021, Ukraine announced the successful issuance of its new $1.25 billion eurobond due 2029 placed with a yield of 6.875%.
"The proceeds were transferred to the account of the State Treasury of Ukraine and will be used for general budgetary purposes," the ministry said.

Seasonal workers to send 20% less hard cash to Ukraine in 2020: NBU
KYIV, May 4 – The volume of remittances of labor migrants to Ukraine in 2020 will decrease by 20%, or by $2.5 billion, to $10 billion, subject to most of the restrictions being removed before the end of the second quarter, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) predicts in an updated inflation report. |
Ukraine’s Business Outlook Index drops 15.9 points to 29.9 in April: NBU
KYIV, May 4 – The Business Activity Outlook Index (BAOI) calculated by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) fell by 15.9 percentage points in April, to 29.9 points, which is lower than the neutral BAOI reading of about 50 and which signals about prevalence of pessimistic expectations of business. |
EBRD, Ukrnergo to build 200-MW power storage battery in Ukraine
KYIV, May 5 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), together with Ukrenergo, is developing a project of building a 200 MW power storage system to regulate frequency in the grid, Olga Yeriomina, the EBRD senior banker for power and energy projects, said. |
