Bayer breaks ground on EUR60-mln corn seed plant in Ukraine’s Zhytomyr
KYIV, Sept 5 – Bayer has started the construction of additional production facilities at the Monsanto plant in the village of Pochuiky (Zhytomyr region) for the production of corn seeds, in which EUR60 million is invested, said head of Zhytomyr regional military administration Vitaliy Bunechko.

Ukraine’s public debt up 3.1% to $132.92-bln in August: Ministry
KYIV, Sept 5 – The total public debt of Ukraine in August 2023 increased by 3.1% to a new historical maximum: in U.S. dollar terms - by $4 billion, to $132.92 billion, and in hryvnia - by UAH 146.2 billion, up to UAH 4.9 trillion, according to data on the website of the Ministry of Finance.

Ukrtransgaz begins upgrade of Bilche-Volytsko-Uherske gas storage facility
KYIV, Sept 2 - Ukrtransgaz, acting as the UGS operator in Ukraine, has begun the reconstruction of Europe's largest Bilche-Volytsko-Uherske underground gas storage facility (UGS) with a capacity of over 17 billion cubic meters of active gas, the project is estimated at UAH 890 million, the operator's press service reported.

Ukraine to offer Bilshovyk plant property in Kyiv at UAH 1.39-bln
KYIV, Sept 2 – First Kyiv Machine-Building Plant (the former Bilshovyk plant) will be put up for a privatization auction with a starting price of UAH 1.39 billion, which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, Dmytro Sennychenko, head of the State Property Fund (SPF) of Ukraine, said.

New EU regulation suspends imports of Ukrainian fruits, vegetables
KYIV, Sept 4 – Importers of fruits in the EU countries from September 1, 2019 refuse to buy some types of fruit and vegetables from Ukraine and other countries, which are not EU member states, as Directive (EU) 2019/523 took force, the Ukrainian Horticultural Association has said. |
