SPF, ArcelorMittal update Kryvorizhstal privatization agreement

KIEV, Oct. 4 - Ukraine's State Property Fund and ArcelorMittal have signed an updated agreement to fulfill the investment obligations that the steel major assumed when it bought 93.02% of Kryvorizhstal in 2005, but which were amended in 2009 due to the economic crisis.


Egypt could resume supplies of wheat from Ukraine, trade group reports

SCM decides to build new media group based on Ukraina TV channel

KIEV, Oct. 5 – SCM, the largest holding company in Ukraine, has decided to build a media group based on the Ukraina TV channel.

According to a press release of the holding, the group, along with the Ukraina national channel, includes the Futbol sports channel, the Donbass regional channel, Mediapartnerstvo (a sales house which holds exclusive rights to sell advertising time on TV channels operating under the umbrella of the Media Group) and Internet Holding Digital Ventures (the TOCHKA.net portal).


ArcelorMittal chief says govt will resolve privatization dispute

TOKYO, Oct. 5 – Lakshmi Mittal, the head of the largest steel company in the world, ArcelorMittal, is satisfied with his company's relations with the new Ukrainian government and has expressed hope that the situation around ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih (earlier Kryvorizhstal, Dnipropetrovsk region) will be resolved, taking into account the interests of the foreign investor.


Ukrainian metals sector exports too much, says WSA director
