India leading list of Ukrainian wheat importers, consultant reports

KIEV, Dec. 26 – India since early 2016/17 agricultural year (July-June) heads the list of Ukrainian wheat importers, importing around 1.5 million tons of grain.


PrivatBank $595 million SPV liabilities included in bail-in, NBU says

KIEV, Dec. 26 – Liabilities of PrivatBank (Dnipro) to a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV, Britain), the issuer of the bank's Loan Participation Notes worth $595 million, were included in the bail-in procedure during the bank's nationalization and they were exchanged for the additionally issued shares of the bank when temporary administration worked at the bank, the National Bank of Ukraine said.


Kernel-Trade gets $170 million credit line from Russian bank

KIEV, Dec. 25 - Kernel-Trade LLC, part of the Ukrainian agrarian group Kernel, has obtained a $170 million credit from a Russian bank.

According to a Kernel Warsaw Stock Exchange statement, the credit agreement was signed on December 21.

KIEV, Dec. 27 – Kiev-based Lidergaz LLC has resold 570 million cubic meters of gas which Dmytro Firtash’s Osthem Holding Limited (Cyprus) imported to the country, to Ukrtransgaz, a subsidiary of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, Ukrtransgaz Director Serhiy Vinokurov told Forbes Ukraine.


Two auto plants to shut down due to UAH27 billion unpaid state tab

KIEV, Dec. 27 – Boryspil and Chernihiv automobile plants, large Ukrainian vehicle manufacturers in Ukraine, which are part of the Etalon Corporation, will be idle in January and February 2013 due to the absence of funds to buy spare parts due to the state debt of UAH 27 million for buses supplied under the School Bus program.


Inflation expected to slow to 4.5% this year, prime minister says

KIEV, Dec. 27 – Inflation in Ukraine will slow down from 9.2% last year to 4.4%-4.5% this year, Prime Minister Mykola Azarovn said.

"For the first time, we end the year with normal indicators of inflation - with 4.4%, 4.5% at most," the government's press service quoted the premier as saying at a meeting of the economic press club.
