Ukraine’s natural gas output down 1% on year to 6.77Bcm in April

KYIV, May 4 - Production of natural gas in Ukraine decreased by 1% on year to 6.77 billion cubic meters in January-April, according to data from Ukrtransgaz.

KYIV, May 4 - Ukraine's international reserves grew by 1.3% in April 2018 and amounted to $18.42 billion as of May 1, 2018, according to tentative data published on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).


Ukraine imported 1.2 bcm of gas from EU in April, Ukrtransgaz reports

KIEV, May 5 - Ukraine in April imported 1.2 billion cubic meters of gas from the EU, while imports from the Russian Federation were 300 million cubic meters, Ukrtransgaz reported.

KIEV, May 5 - Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has lowered its long-term foreign and local currency corporate credit ratings on State Railways Administration of Ukraine Ukrzaliznytsia to 'CC' from 'CCC-', reads a posting on the rating agency's website.


Zaporizhstal boosts supplies to Europe, cuts exports to Russia

KIEV, May 5 – Zaporizhstal, part of Metinvest Group, boosted supplies to the European market by 60% in 2014, while supplies to Russia fell due to the devaluation of the Russian ruble and the non-attractiveness of its market.


Naftogaz Ukrayiny reports 27.2% fall in gas transit shipment revenues

KIEV, May 6 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny’s revenue from gas transit shipments amounted to UAH 17.424 billion in 2014, which was 27.2%, or UAH 6.518 billion, down from 2013.

Revenue from gas transit accounted for 20.1% of total revenue in 2014, against 26.9% in 2013, the company said in its report.


Ukrainian steelmakers report 30% year-to date output decline

KIEV, May 6 – Ukrainian steelmakers saw a 30% decline in output in January-April 2015, year-over-year, to 7.085 million tons.

KIEV, May 6 – The total sum of claims lodged by Russia's OAO Gazprom against NJSC Naftogaz Ukrayiny with the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce is estimated at $23.837 billion.

KIEV, May 6 – Yuzhnoukrainsk Nuclear Power Plant has completed 12 out of 85 prerequisite programs for the extension of the service life of reactor two after April 2015, the plant reported.


Naftogaz to pay Gazprom March debt this month under IMF arrangement

KIEV, May 6 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny will purchase $2.16 billion from the National Bank of Ukraine and will pay an overdue debt as of late March 2014 for supplies of natural gas to Russia's Gazprom by the end of May, according to the Stand-By Arrangement of the International Monetary Fund prepared for Ukraine.
