Ukraine boosting output, exports of berries to EU, Middle East

KIEV, July 5 - Ukraine’s output of berries increased over the past three years to 130,000 metric tons annually, boosting exports to the EU and the Middle East, UkrAgroConsult Director General Serhiy Feofilov said Tuesday.

KIEV, July 3 - ConverDyn, an American company, is contemplating the potential for setting up a joint uranium hexafluoride production facility in Ukraine.

The likelihood of such cooperation was discussed between the U.S. company's representatives and the top managers of Nuclear Fuel state concern in Kiev in late June, the Ukrainian concern said in a press release.

Top Ukraine pork producer reports losing millions in conflict

LONDON, July 6 - Ukraine's largest pork producer, APK-Invest, continues to suffer huge losses to the ongoing conflict in the east, where its largest assets are located.

The company today issued a report pegging its direct losses from the conflict at UAH40 million ($1.8 million), Global Meat News reported.


IMF Standby Arrangement mission to extend work through July 9

KIEV, July 3 - An International Monetary Fund mission for the first review under a Stand-By Arrangement with Ukraine, which arrived in Kiev on June 24, has extended its work until July 9, the IMF Resident Representative Office in Ukraine said in a statement.
