Kernel plans to invest $100-mln to build oil processing plant in 2024
KYIV, July 4 – The agricultural holding Kernel, one of the largest in Ukraine, intends to invest more than $100 million during 2024 in the construction of an oil processing plant in Starokostiantyniv (Khmelnytsky region), the purchase of agricultural machinery, the development of vehicles and projects on the Danube, CEO of the company Yevhen Osypov said.

Ukraine’s Business Activity Expectations Index up slightly in June: NBU
KYIV, July 4 – The Business Activity Expectations Index (BAEI) calculated by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), after a slight decline from 51.5 points in April to 50.5 points in May, grew slightly in June to 50.8 points, and remained at the positive half of the scale (zero to 100).

Ukraine’s business confidence in June drops by 0.3 points: state service
KYIV, July 5 – The indicator of business confidence in the industry in June 2023 decreased by 0.3 percentage points (p.p.) compared to May, amounting to "minus" 7.1%, and in the processing industry this indicator decreased by 0.2%, to "minus" 5.2%, according to the State Statistics Service.

Yermak-McFaul group suggests sanctions to limit Russia’s access to IT
KYIV, July 4 – The international working group on sanctions against Russia, chaired by Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak and Director of the Freeman-Spogli Institute (FSI) Ambassador Michael McFaul, has presented a report aimed at limiting the access of the Russian military-industrial complex to Western technologies.
