Boyko off to Moscow after Turkmen deal

Naftogaz Ukrayiny plans to soon acquire 50% stake in Russian oil co
 KIEV, Sept. 6 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the oil and gas company, plans to shortly acquire a 50% stake in Kalmoil, a small regional Russian oil company, Naftogaz Ukrayiny Chairman Oleksiy Ivchenko said Tuesday. Naftogaz planned to spend $10 million late last year to acquire the stake. |
Ukraine likely to face power shortages in 2024-2026, NBU reports
KYIV, Aug 2 – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) worsened the forecast for electricity deficit in 2024-2026 in the inflation report for July.
In particular, the deficit estimate for 2024 has been worsened from 5% to more than 7%, for 2025 – from 4% to almost 8%. At the same time, for 2026 it is forecast to be close to 5%, whereas previously no deficit was expected.

Ukraine's business confidence drops by 1.7 points to -8.7% in July
KYIV, Aug 2 – The business confidence indicator in Ukraine's industry dropped by 1.7 percentage points (pp) in July 2024 compared to June 2024, reaching -8.7%. In the manufacturing sector, it decreased by 1.8 pp to -7.4%, according to the State Statistics Service.

Ukraine repairs 1.6% of damaged thermal power generation facilities
KYIV, Aug 4 – The volume of emergency restoration work performed by thermal generation facilities is only 1.6% of the amount of damage inflicted by Russian strikes, in Ukrenergo this figure is 7%, follows from the data of Chairman of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC) Konstiantyn Uschapovsky.

Dniprovsky Metallurgical Plant accelerate steel production in June
KYIV, Aug 4 – Dniprovsky Metallurgical Plant (DMZ, former Evraz-DMZ), a member of DCH Steel Group, owned by Oleksandr Yaroslavsky, following the launch of blast furnace and rolling shops No. 1 and No. 2 in June of the current year after maintenance works since October 2019, continues to restore and increase the production.
