Ukraine's monetary base fell 1.1% in August, according to NBU

KIEV, Oct. 2 - Ukraine's monetary base decreased by 1.1% in August, to UAH 328.8 billion, while money supply decreased by 2.1%, to UAH 948.2 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.


NBU revokes license and liquidates insolvent Kiev Delta Bank

KIEV, Oct. 5 – The National Bank of Ukraine has decided to revoke the license of Delta Bank (Kiev) and liquidate it, the NBU said on its website.

"NBU on October 2, 2015 under the proposal of the Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund made decision No. 664 on removal of the bank license and liquidation of public joint-stock company Delta Bank," reads the report.


UIA president outlines airport alternatives for Russia airline bans

Ukraine promises to cap greenhouse gas emissions at 60% of 1990 level

Thermal power plant coal stockpile reported up 11.5% on week

KIEV, Oct. 6 - Coal stored in the warehouses of Ukrainian thermal power plants increased by 11.5% or by 207,400 tons, to 2.008 million tons, from September 28 to October 5, according to a Ukrenergo report.


Egyptians buy 60,000 tons of Ukraine milling wheat at $199.30/ton

KIEV, Oct. 6 - Egypt's General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) has bought 60,000 tons of Ukrainian milling wheat at a tender at the price of $199.30 per ton for delivery in the period from November 1 to November 10.


NBU blocks share deal between VTB and BM Bank due to sanctions

SOCHI, Oct. 6 – The National Bank of Ukraine has blocked share deals between VTB and BM Bank (Kiev, the subsidiary of Bank of Moscow) due to sanctions and froze the additional capitalization of the bank and its possible sale, the bank's senior vice president, Mikhail Yakunin, told Interfax.
