Ukraine currency inflow hit $14 billion through Nov. 30, NBU reports
KIEV, Dec. 5 – The currency inflow to Ukraine from January to November 2011 came to some $14 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine announced.
"Since the start of the year, almost $14 billion has been sent to Ukraine. Even today, when the economic situation in the world is difficult, we have an inflow of currency," said NBU Governor Serhiy Arbuzov. |
Electric consumption up 2.7% through Nov. 30, government reports
KIEV, Dec. 6 - Electricity consumption in Ukraine in January-November, taking into account losses from electricity transmission, grew by 2.7%, or by 4.516 billion kilowatt-hours year-on-year, to 169.939 billion kilowatt-hours, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry reported. |

Metinvest reports sharp output spike following Mariupol purchase
KIEV, Dec. 6 – Metinvest Mining and Metals Holding starting in November included Mariupol Illich Iron & Steel Works (Donetsk region), a 74.6455% stake in which was bought by Metinvest B.V., in its report, which resulted in a sharp increase in the metal production data of the group. |
Report: Ukrainian bank information transparency grew in 2009
KIEV, Dec. 4 – Information transparency at Ukrainian banks grew in 2009, despite there being a fall in incentives for transparency, according to a survey conducted by the Financial Initiatives Agency jointly with the corporate management rating service of Standard & Poor's with the support of Capital Markets Development USAID project. |
