KYIV, Dec 5 – Ukraine and China celebrate the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and are reaching the new strategic level of cooperation, which envisages the implementation of joint projects for the total amount of near $7 billion, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Ukraine delays Chornobyl’s New Safe Consignment until May 2018, regulator reports

KYIV, Dec 5 – The launch of a New Safe Confinement (NSC) built over reactor four of Chornobyl nuclear power plant (NPP) has been postponed from November 2017 until late May 2018, according to a posting on the website of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, referring to Deputy Head of the NSC project Serhiy Deriuha.


Cabinet decided to fulfill Ukraine ’s international Chernobyl liabilities

KYIV, Dec 5 – The Cabinet of Ministers decided to go ahead and fulfill the international liabilities of Ukraine in the approved terms and full amount regarding contributions to the Chornobyl Shelter Fund of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), including payment of the currency exchange difference for the period of 2014-2016, Ecology and Natural Resources Minister Ostap Semerak said.

KYIV, Dec 5 – Ukraine 's forex reserves grew by 0.9% in November, to $18.906 billion, up almost 22% since early 2017, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reported Wednesday.


German company buys six Ternopil sugar factories from T-Tsukor

KIEV , Dec. 5 - Pfeifer & Langen ( Germany ) is completing the acquisition of six sugar factories in Ternopil region previously owned by T-Tsukor holding.

"Yes, we buy these six plants," Radekhiv Sugar LLC Head Vitaliy Sikorsky told Interfax-Ukraine.
