Arcelor Mittal Kryvy Rih reduces roll production 2.6% through April

KIEV, May 6 - Arcelor Mittal Kryviy Rih (formerly Kryvorizhstal), Ukraine's biggest steel producer, reduced roll production tentatively 2.6% year-on-year to 2.335 million tons in January-April, the company told Interfax.


Ukraine should clarify Central Asian gas prices, says committee chief

KIEV, May 7 – Ukraine should clarify how much Central Asian countries will charge next year for gas supplied to the Russian companies that resell it in Ukraine in order for the talks with Russia on the conditions of natural gas supplies after 2008 to be a success, according to Mykola Martynenko, chairman of Parliament’s committee for fuel and energy sector, nuclear policy and nuclear safety.
