Ukraine consumer prices down in May for second consecutive month

KIEV, June 7 – Consumer prices in Ukraine, after falling by 0.3% in April for the first time since August 2008, declined by another 0.6% in May, the State Statistics Committee reported on Monday.

Economy expanded 7.6%-7.8% during first five months of 2007

KIEV, June 7 - The Ukrainian economy expanded an estimated 7.6%-7.8% in January-May 2007 and will grow 7.5% in the first half, the Economics Ministry announced.

The Economics Ministry forecasts that consumer prices will grow 0.4%-0.5% in June and 2.3%-2.4% in the first half.


PepsiCo buying Ukraine-based juice maker
