Ukraine may resume Russian gas imports in Q3 if Gazprom lowers price

KIEV, June 7 - Ukraine may resume imports of Russian natural gas in the third quarter if Gazprom agrees to lower its prices to below European gas prices, Andriy Kobolev, the head of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, said.

MOSCOW, June 6 – The Eurasian Economic Commission, the regulating body of the Eurasian Economic Union, has prolonged antidumping duties on Ukrainian steel pipes for five years.


Azerbaijan working on producing An-178 Ukrainian transport aircraft

KIEV, June 7 – Azerbaijan is interested in expanding cooperation with Ukraine in aircraft building. The country is working on the organization of assembly of new Ukrainian transport aircraft An-178 with a carrying capacity of up to 18 tons designed by Kiev-based Antonov State Enterprise at its own production facilities.

PM threatens to nationalize two chemical plants owned by Firtash

KIEV, June 5 – Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has accused businessman Dmytro Firtash of the deliberate stoppage of his Rivneazot and Cherkasy Azot plants due to his unwillingness to pay a UAH 6 billion debt for gas to Naftogaz Ukrayiny and has threatened to nationalize these large chemical enterprises.


Ukrtransgaz to merge cross-border pipelines with Hungary's FGSZ

KIEV, June 5 - Ukrtransgaz, the Ukrainian operator of the gas transportation system, and Hungarian operator FGSZ on May 29 signed an agreement on the merger of cross-border gas pipelines (an interconnection agreement) between Ukraine and Hungary, Naftogaz Ukrainy reported.


Central bank decides to liquidate insolvent Kiev Bank Nadra

KIEV, June 5 – The National Bank of Ukraine has decided to liquidate Bank Nadra (Kiev), the regulator said on its website.

"Continuing the started procedure to remove insolvent public joint-stock company Bank Nadra from the market, the NBU decided to revoke the banking license of the bank and liquidate it on June 4, 2015," reads the report.


Ukraine to introduce new duties on some imported automobiles

KIEV, June 7 – The interagency commission for international trade has decided to introduce duties on imports of cars with engines from 1 to 2.2 liters and the decision will be published soon, Economic Development and Trade Minister Petro Poroshenko said.
