Germany’s Knauf to build EUR 150-mln drywall factory in Ternopil
KYIV, Jan 8 – German construction materials giant Knauf plans to build a factory for drywall and dry construction mixtures in Borschiv, Ternopil region, with an investment of EUR 150 million, according to Dmytro Kysylevsky, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Development.

Ukraine’s forex reserves up 4.4% to $40.5-bln in December, NBU says
KYIV, Jan 5 – Ukraine’s forex reserves, according to preliminary data, in December, after four months of decline, increased by $1.723 billion, or 4.4%, and reached the level of $40.508 billion, which is the second highest figure in history after July 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reported on Friday.

Ukraine’s farming product exports down about 50% to $20-bln in 2022
KYIV, Jan 4 – Ukraine last year exported, according to preliminary data, agricultural products worth at least $20 billion, which is about half less than in 2021, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky said on the air of the national telethon on Wednesday.

Ukraine’s EV registrations increase 50% on year to 13,318 in 2022
KYIV, Jan 4 - Registrations of new and used electric vehicles in Ukraine in 2022 increased by 50% compared to 2021 - up to 13,318 units, including 16.9% against 14.2% of new ones, the Federation of the Automotive Industry of Ukraine reported, based on data from the Interior Ministry.

Onur cuts construction work by 90% in Ukraine due to Russian invasion
KYIV, Jan 5 – Onur, one of the largest companies in the construction and repair of roads in Ukraine, in 2022, due to the war, reduced the amount of work by 90% and froze the implementation of almost all large-scale road infrastructure projects, General Coordinator of Onur Group Ukraine Emre Karaahmetoglu said in an interview with NV publication.
