DTEK Ukraine's largest leaser of state-run property, NBU reports
KIEV, March 4 – DTEK is Ukraine's largest leaser of state-run property, with its leasing of the property of Dobropilliavuhillia bringing UAH 13.9 million a month to the budget and property of Bilozerska Mine – UAH 3.7 million, the State Property Fund said in a list on leasing agreements signed as of March 1. |

Dnipropetrovsk manufacturer complains of scrap-metal shortage
KIEV, March 4 – Dnipropetrovsk's Interpipe Pipe and Wheel Company has renewed its complaints about an acute shortage of scrap ferrous metal in Ukraine, noting 53,000 tons of supply last month amounted to only 23% of projected demand (234,000 tons). |

Government plans to halt duty-free import of petroleum products
KIEV, March 4 – The Ukrainian government plans to stop the duty-free importing of petroleum products to Ukraine to improve the country's investment attractiveness and prevent losses to the national budget, according to a draft memorandum by the Ukrainian authorities to the International Monetary Fund, which was drawn up for the second review of the Stand-By Arrangement. |
US Bunge corp. buys port-based Ukraine facilities for $100 million
KIEV, March 3 – U.S.-based agri-industrial corporation Bunge has acquired port-based facilities in Ukraine for an overall sum of about $100 million.
As Bunge said in its annual report, the buyer was one of its European-based subsidiaries, and the deal was struck on February 10.
Interfax-Ukraine was unable to obtain further information from Bunge on the deal.

Government claims settlement of outstanding ArcelorMittal VAT
KIEV, March 3 – VAT reimbursement to ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih has been settled, according to the Ukrainian government.
"Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov said that the VAT reimbursement to ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih has been settled," the prime minister’s told Interfax-Ukraine, commenting on talks between Azarov and Laurent Moser head of the Parliament of Luxembourg. |
NBU governor gloomy on Ukraine’s balance of payments deficit
KIEV, March 3 – Ukraine's balance of payments in January 2011 improved thanks to the influence of temporary factors but growth in the deficit of the current account is still expected in future, according to Serhiy Arbuzov, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine. |
