Ukrecoresources launching Khmelnytsky plastic bottle recycling plant

KIEV, July 5 - State-run enterprise Ukrecoresources is launching a plastic bottle recycling line with a capacity of 500 kilograms per hour in the settlement of Antonivtsi in Khmelnytsky region, which will produce A-class PET flakes.


Ukraine to ship 2-2.5 million tons of corn to China annually

KIEV, July 6 - Ukraine has pledged to ship 2-2.5 million tons of corn to China annually as part of its obligations on a $3 billion loan from the Export-Import Bank of China, Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said in an interview with Den newspaper.


Parliament increases government payments for natural gas production

KIEV, July 6 - Parliament has adopted a law envisaging increased payments for gas production (including non-traditional) from a depth of up to 5km from 17% to 25% of its cost and for depths of over 5 km from 9% to 14% of cost.


Price of Russian natgas imports to fall to $417/1,000 cm in Q4

KIEV, July 6 – The price of natural gas imported under contracts with the Russian Federation will drop to $417 per 1,000 cubic meters in Q4, from $426 in Q3 and $425 in Q2, Naftogaz Ukrayiny said.

"This decrease is driven by the decline in prices for oil on world markets.


IFC announces $150 million to boost Ukrainian agricultural efficiency

Ukraine’s international reserves expanded 10.6% in June, NBU reports

KIEV, July 6 – Ukraine's international reserves expanded by 10.6%, or $2.818 billion, in June to $29.523 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine reported on Tuesday.


Fitch upgrades eight Ukrainian banks following sovereign upgrade

KIEV, July 6 -- Fitch Ratings has upgraded the Long-term Issuer Default ratings (IDRs) of eight Ukrainian banks to 'B' from 'B-'.

Fitch said the outlooks on the Long-term IDRs are stable. This follows the July 6 upgrade of Ukraine's Long-term foreign and local currency IDRs to 'B' from 'B-' with a Stable Outlook .


Romanian work on Danube threatens Ukraine with floods, says ecologist

KIEV, July 7 – Korsan Ltd., an arm of the Privat Group, paid UAH 2.1 billion to for buying a 18.296% stake Ukraine’s largest oil refinery Ukrtatnafta, Valeriy Korneliak, the head of Ukrtatnafta's legal department, said.
