Ukraine’s IUD to sell pipe-making plant to Poland’s Alchemia

KIEV, Dec. 7 – Ukraine’s Industrial Union of Donbass (has implemented an agreement reached previously to sell Poland's Alchemia SA a pipe-making plant that was part of ISD Huta Czestochowa Sp. z o.o.

ISD Vice President Oleksandr Pylypenko told Interfax that the sale is complete.


Ukraine industrial producer prices reported down 0.3% in November

KIEV, Dec. 7 - Industrial producers' prices in Ukraine slid by 0.3% in November, while they posted a 17.6% rise since early 2010, the State Statistics Committee reported.

"GlaxoSmithKline is launching a global social initiative in Ukraine. It foresees that we'll make our vaccines on preventing the development of cervical cancer as available as possible.


TNK-BP Commerce estimates cost of LINIK upgrade at $80-90 million

KIEV, Dec. 7 – Kiev-based TNK-BP Commerce Ltd. estimates the total investment into the upgrade of Lysychansk oil refinery (LINIK, Luhansk region) to transfer to Euro 4 standard gasoline and diesel fuel full production at $80-90 million.


AeroSvit seeks to restructure debt; Reorg plans include layoffs

KIEV, Dec. 7 – AeroSvit air carrier (Kiev) has joined the growing list of Ukrainian companies seeking to restructure debt.

AeroSvit supervisory council co-chairman Hryhoriy Hurtovy told Kommersant-Ukraine that the company is hoping to agree with creditors on a debt restructuring, but plans to partially pay the debt back on account of a $30 million credit issued by the owners of a 52% stake in the company.


Zorya-Mashproekt starts work on Ghana power plant equipment

KIEV, Dec. 7 - Zorya-Mashproekt (Mykolaiv) has started fulfilling an order for the production and supply of energy equipment for an electric power plant being constructed in the Republic of Ghana.
