Ukraine's energy sector losses seen at $20-bln after Russian strikes
KYIV, March 7 – Losses in Ukraine's energy sector due to Russian strikes had exceeded $20 billion by the end of 2024, reported Energy Club Vice President and former Head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency (2021-2023) Valeriy Bezus, citing the Ukraine Fourth Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (RDNA4).

Ukrainian scientists see grain harvest down 37% on year in 2023-2024
KYIV, March 9 – The forecasted gross grain harvest in Ukraine in 2023-2024 may reach 34 million tons, and it is 37% less than in 2022-2023 and 60% less than in 2021-2022, while the oilseeds crop is expected to be 19.3 million tons, 13% more than in 2022-2023 and 15% less than in 2021-2022.

USDA revises up forecast for Ukraine’s corn exports in 2022-2023
KYIV, March 9 – The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) in its March report increased the forecast for corn exports from Ukraine for marketing year 2022/2023 (July-June) by 1 million tons compared to February data, to 23.5 million tons from 22.5 million tons, while for wheat it retained an estimate of 13.5 million tons.
