Ukraine’s wage arrears down by 18.5%, labor minister reports

KIEV, May 28 – The wage debt in Ukraine as of May 1 fell by 18.5% compared to early April, Labor and Social Policy Minister Liudmyla Denisova said at a briefing in Kiev on Wednesday.


Ukraine may face another banking crisis this fall, says businessman

KIEV, May 28 – Ukraine could expect for another wave of the banking liquidity crisis this fall, according to Ukrainian businessman and UPEK Industrial Group President Anatoliy Girshfeld.

"The problem of bad credits has not been taken off the agenda, it would only come to the fore... The next wave of the banking liquidity crisis will be linked with the accumulated non-return of credits, and it should be discussed in the fall of 2009.


Some 2,000 Rivneazot workers face layoff following natgas cutoff

UkrGaz-Energo to sell 12.5% of its gas via independent gas traders

KIEV, May 25 ??“ UkrGaz-Energo will by the end of 2006 sell to about 4 billion cubic meters or about 12.5% of its annual gas resources through independent gas traders, a Ukraine's Gas Traders Association official said.
