Small solar power plant owners to sell power to grid directly after 2030
KYIV, May 27 – After feed-in tariffs expire in 2030, the owners of home solar stations will most likely be able to freely enter the electricity market and sell their resources in it, Yuriy Shafarenko, the director of the of renewable energy and alternative fuels department at the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, has said.

Ukrzaliznytsia ready to reopen railroads for trains on June 1
KYIV, May 28 – Ukrzaliznytsia, the state railroad company, is ready to start passenger service and 42 trains are ready to be launched from June 1, but their number can be increased, Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy said on his Telegram channel on Thursday.

Ukraine power output drops 0.9% in January-April
KYIV, May 27 – Power production in Ukraine in January-April decreased by 0.9% (491 million kWh) compared to the same period of 2018, to 56.043 billion kWh, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry reported. |
World Bank to provide $200-mln to Ukraine for agriculture program
KYIV, May 28 – The World Bank will provide $200 million to Ukraine to implement the Accelerating Private Investment in Agriculture Program Project for Ukraine to alleviate select constraints to increased participation of the private sector, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in agricultural input and output markets of Ukraine. |
