Ukraine producer prices rose 1.1% in January, government reports

KIEV, Feb. 8 – Industrial producers prices in Ukraine in January 2016 were 1.1% down from December 2015 after a 0.1% increase in November 2015 from October 2015 and 0.3% increase in December 2015 from November 2015 the State Statistics Service reported.

Inflation accelerated in January, State Statistics Service reports

KIEV, Feb. 9 - Inflation in Ukraine in January 2015 was 3.1% compared to 3% in December and 1.9% in November, the State Statistics Service reported.

In annual terms (compared to the same month last year) inflation increased to 28.5% from 24.9% last year.


Industrial prices surge in January after stabilizing in December

KIEV, Feb. 9 – Industrial prices in Ukraine, after stabilizing in December, have started growing again, rising for the first month of the new year by 2.3%, the State Statistics Service reported.

In annual terms (compared to the same month last year) the growth of prices accelerated to 34.1% from 31.8% in 2014.


Philip Morris reports 5.5% drop in cigarette shipments to Ukraine

KIEV, Feb. 7 - Philip Morris International, one of the world's largest manufacturers of tobacco products, in 2013 reduced shipments of cigarettes in Ukraine by 5.5%, to 25.5 billion cigarettes, the company said in a report.


Permit issued to design land utilization for LNG terminal project

ODESSA, Feb. 10 – The chief department of the State Agency for Land Resources of Ukraine in Odessa region has issued a permit to design a land utilization project on the permanent allocation of a land to build, operate and service facilities of the LNG Terminal National Project.


Inflation will be single-digit despite hryvnia, says NBU official

KIEV, Feb. 10 – The hryvnia devaluation to UAH 8.70/$1 allows inflation in Ukraine to be kept at lower than 10%, according to Olena Scherbakova, the director of the chief monetary and credit policy department at the National Bank of Ukraine.

KIEV, Feb. 7 - The new shareholders of Inter Media Group Limited, uniting Inter TV Channel and up to 10 other channels, will be the companies owned by Dmytro Firtash and Serhiy Liovochkin, head of the Presidential Administration, Firstash’s Group DF reported on Thursday.
