Smart-Holding looking to finance $1 billion Crimea resort project

Electricity consumption in Ukraine up 10.3% in January-February
KIEV, March 9 - Electricity consumption in Ukraine in January and February, taking into account losses in electricity transmission, grew by 10.3%, or 3.174 billion kilowatt-hours year-on-year, to 33.842 billion kilowatt-hours, the Fuel and Energy Ministry told Interfax-Ukraine. |

Icon Private Equity Fund to expand wireless Internet access
KIEV, March 6 - Icon Private Equity investment fund, which in 2009 bought a stake in Ukrainian High Technologies (UHT, the Alternet trademark, Kiev), is intending to develop the project into the largest operator of wireless Internet access in Ukraine, Kyrylo Dmitriyev, the president and managing partner of the fund, told Ekonomicheskiye Izvestiya newspaper. |

KIEV, March 10 – Three Ukrainian developers have shown the worst share performance during the period of the downturn among the CIS companies that have conducted initial public offerings, according to a report drawn up by the PBN Company, a strategic and financial communications consultancy.
