Azovmash preparing to supply 3rd equipment batch to Cyclone 4 project

KIEV, April 10 – Azovobschemash, part of Azovmash, (both based in Mariupol, Donetsk region) is preparing to supply a third batch of special-purpose equipment in summer 2014 for the Cyclone-4 rocket complex being built by Ukraine and Brazil at the Alcantara Space Center in Brazil.


Q1 losses at state-run coal mines reported at UAH3.683 billion

Labor collective passes resolutions critical of ArcelorMittal

KIEV, April 9 – The conference of the labor collective of public joint-stock company ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih's (Dnipropetrovsk region) labor collective has passed several resolutions in which it criticized the staff and organizational policy conducted by the administration aimed at reducing the workforce and outsourcing some divisions.


Ukraine and Japan agree on 536 Kyoto projects in 24 regions

KIEV, April 9 – Ukraine and Japan have agreed on 536 projects to be realized using funds received from the sale of Assigned Amount Units (AAUs) to Japan under Kyoto protocol, Ecology and Natural Resources Minister Oleh Proskuriakov said.


MOR director disputes Ukraine's claims against Belarus oil refiners

KIEV, April 10 – Ukraine’s claims against Belarusian oil refining companies are unclear or unsubstantiated, Mozyr Oil Refinery (MOR) Deputy Director General Vitaly Pavlov said, according to BelTA news agency.

Using these claims Ukraine is about to open an investigation into the supplies of Belarusian oil products. Commenting on the claims Pavlov said that “some points are unclear, some have nothing to do with reality”.


Zaporizhia government calls a halt to iron ore field development

KIEV, April 10 – Zaporizhia Regional Administration has opposed the development of an iron ore field in the Huliay Pole district by Haichursky Ore Mining and Beneficiation Plant LLC and will initiate the cancellation of the permit issued by the Zaporizhia regional council.


Thai government expresses satisfaction with Ukraine military hardware

KIEV, April 9 – The government of Thailand says it is satisfied with bilateral military and technical cooperation with Ukraine as well as the armored vehicles delivered by the Ukrainian side to the army of Thailand.


Bill would ban sales of gasoline containing less than 5% ethanol

KIEV, April 10 – The Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has drawn up a draft law banning sales in Ukraine of fuel containing less than 5% bioethanol starting January 1, 2013, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boiko said on the Shuster Live TV program.


Cabinet proposes Rada raise 2012 budget revenues and expenditures

KIEV, April 10 – The Cabinet of Ministers has proposed that Parliament, to increase the revenues and expenditures of the national budget for 2012 by UAH 33.35 billion, to UAH 366.17 billion and UAH 391.36 billion, respectively, without changing the limit of the deficit.


State Property Fund bullish on ZTMK stake privatization tender

KIEV, April 10 – The State Property Fund expects that it will attract an investor for Zaporizhia Titanium and Magnesium Combine (ZTMK) this year, SPF head Oleksandr Riabchenko said at a press conference in Kiev.
