Ukrainian government donates $580,000 to UN Ethiopian food aid

KIEV, July 28 – The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) welcomed the first-ever donation of $580,000 in shipments of 1,000 tons of wheat made from the government of Ukraine on July 22, 2009, to support WFP's efforts and to feed close to five million people in Ethiopia who are in need of emergency relief assistance, according to the UN news center.
