Bosch expects 15% growth in sales in Ukraine in 2018 up from 5% in 2017

KYIV, June 8 – Bosch in Ukraine expects at least 15% growth in sales in 2018 compared with 2017, when the figure stood at EUR 74 million, growing by 5% on 2016, Director General of Robert Bosch Ltd. Vitaliy Bulda said.

KIEV, June 10 – The monetary base in Ukraine shrank by 0.2% in May, or UAH 0.74 billion, to UAH 329.62 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

Ukraine asks World Bank to resume direct lending to government

KIEV, June 7 – Ukraine has asked the World Bank to resume direct support to the country's budget, according to the government.

"The proposal was that [the World Bank] re-launch a project for direct budget support and raise limits of lending for the portfolio of projects in Ukraine," the press service said in a report about the Ukrainian side's proposals put forth during a meeting between Ukraine's First Vice Premier Serhiy Arbuzov and a World Bank delegation.


Diesel and gasoline excise proceeds reported down 30.3% through April

KIEV, June 7 – Proceeds from the excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuel to the national budget of Ukraine decreased by 30.3% in January-April compared to the same period in 2012, to UAH 2.388 billion, the Income and Tax Ministry reported.


Cabinet okays UAH9 billion feasibility study for Sloviansk plant

KIEV, June 7 - The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a feasibility study for the modernization of the sixth and seventh power units of Sloviansk thermal power plant of energy generating company Donbasenergo for UAH 9.329 billion.


Losses of state coal mines continued to mount through May 31

KIEV, June 7 – The losses of coal mines managed by the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry from coal production in January-May amounted to UAH 6.020 billion, up 37.7% up on the same period of 2012.


IDS lawyer slams tactics used in tax service raid on company

IAEA mission concludes probe of February Chernobyl ceiling collapse

KIEV, June 10 – The IAEA expert mission for considering the reasons of the February 12 ceiling collapse at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant has finished its work.

According to a posting on the official Web site of the state-run specialized enterprise Chernobyl, at the final meeting the experts presented their preliminary conclusions and recommendations.
