AkrAvto to distribute Chery autos in Georgia, Belarus, Moldova

KIEV, July 9 - UkrAvto Ukrainian Car Corporation has received a permit from China's Chery Automobile Co. to distribute Chery cars in Georgia, Belarus and Moldova, UkrAvto Vice President Oleh Papashev told the press in Tbilisi, Georgia.


Austria’s Voest-Alpine to announce site of new metals plant this year

KIEV, July 9 - Austria's Voest-Alpine, which is studying the possibility of building a metals plant in either Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria or Turkey, will make a decision on the site for the plant's construction before the end of 2008, Ukrainian Deputy Industrial Policy Minister Volodymyr Severniuk said on Wednesday.

Fitch assigns sr unsecured B+ ratings to IUD Finance notes

MOSCOW, July 9 - Fitch Ratings has assigned IUD Finance Plc's proposed issue of $350 million to $500 million of loan participation notes expected senior unsecured 'B+' and Recovery 'RR4' ratings. The notes will benefit from surety from three group entities, including the parent company Corporation Industrial Union of Donbass ("IUD"). The expected rating is in line with IUD's Long-term Issuer Default 'B+' rating with Stable Outlook, which along with IUD's Short-term Issuer Default 'B' rating is affirmed today. The final rating on the notes is contingent on the receipt of final documentation conforming to information already received and further details regarding the amount and tenor.


Cardinal Resources says instability is forcing it to raise funds

KIEV, July 10 - Britain's Cardinal Resources Plc, which extracts hydrocarbons in Ukraine, said that political instability in the country is forcing it to issue additional stock to replenish its circulating capital, the company announced on Monday.

FUIB hails success of UAH300 million three-year bond issue

KIEV, July 10 - Donetsk-based First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) at the end of last week completed the placement of UAH300 million of 12% three-year bonds, the bank's securities department told Interfax-Ukraine.
