Budget borrowing to increase to UAH98.5b this year, from UAH80.6b
KIEV, July 9 – The financing of Ukraine's national budget through borrowing in 2012 is planned at UAH 98.5 billion, with 38.1% of the loans to be taken on the foreign market, while in 2011 state borrowing came to UAH 80.6 billion, of which 33.7% was foreign borrowing. |
Ukraine GDP to grow 2.4% in 2012, 3.5% next year, Fitch says
KIEV, July 10 – Ukraine’s economy will expand 2.4% in 2012, but will accelerate growth to 3.5% in 2013, reflecting likely stronger external demand for steel, Fitch Ratings said Tuesday in a report.
“Economic performance is dependent on the highly cyclical steel sector, and growth is sensitive to a downturn in the global economy or a eurozone growth shock,” Fitch said in the report. |
Ukraine considering ruble-denominated bond, says finance minister

Bogdan car plant reports 63.3% increase in output during H1
KIEV, July 8 - Bogdan car plant (earlier Lutsk car plant), part of the Bogdan Corporation, in January to June 2008 increased car output in Lutsk and Cherkasy by 63.3% compared to January to June 2007, to 41,369 cars, Bogdan press secretary Serhiy Krasulia told Interfax-Ukraine.
