KIEV, Jan. 6 – The Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry plans to raise $1 billion of investment in 2016 to restore irrigation systems in southern Ukraine.
KIEV, Jan. 6 – Ukraine's national commission for financial service markets regulation plans to annul insurance licenses of double liability Allianz Ukraine Insurance Company, private joint-stock Guta-Ukraine Insurance Company (both based in Kiev) and private joint-stock Guarantee Life Insurance Company (Kharkiv), citing the fact that residents of Russia own corporate rights in the companies and control them.

KIEV, Jan. 10 - DTEK Holdings Ltd (Cyprus) will acquire a state-owned 45.103% stake in public joint-stock company Zakhidenergo, an electricity generating company, for the earlier proposed sum of UAH 1.932 billion.
KIEV, Jan. 11 - DTEK, which is controlled by Rinat Akhmetov, has won a tender for a 40.061% stake in Donetskoblenergo, offering UAH 467.6 million for the stake.
Initially, DTEK proposed UAH 449.6 million for the stake and its rival - Luhansk Energy Association controlled by businessman Konstantin Grigorishin – bid UAH 449.5 million.
KIEV, Jan. 11 - Ukraine will seek to stimulate domestic demand for its steel, mostly in housing and infrastructure projects, as weaker external demand has been affecting many of its companies, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said Wednesday.
