EU agrees to regulate Russia’s pipeline
BRUSSELS, Feb 8 - European Union nations backed a plan to regulate Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline on Friday, a move that will likely slow but not rule out its construction, Reuters reported. |
Naftogaz to shut down representative office in Hungary
KYIV, Feb 7 – The national energy company Naftogaz Ukrayiny will close it representative office in Hungary, the company has reported in the information disclosure system of the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market, referring to the decision of the supervisory board. |
NBU expects cash inflow from migrant workers to grow to $12.2-bln in 2019
KYIV, Feb 8 – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) predicts the further increase in the volume of money transfers to the country from labor migrants: if in 2018, they sum was estimated at $11.6 billion, in in 2019 it is expected that it will be $12.2 billion, Head of the NBU Council Bohdan Danylyshyn said Thursday. |
EV registrations in Ukraine rise 130% on year in January
KYIV, Feb 8 – Primary registrations of electric vehicles in Ukraine in January 2019 increased by 130% year-over-year, to 441 units, with used electric cars imported into Ukraine accounting for 91.6% of the total number (404 units), the Ukrautoprom Association reported. |
Ukraine reports 1% inflation in January vs. 0.8% in December
KYIV, Feb 8 – Inflation in Ukraine in January 2019 was 1% against 0.8% in December 2018, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine said on Friday.
Consumer price growth in January 2019 year-over-year slowed to 9.2% against 14.1% in January 2018 compared to January 2017. |
