Ukrainian banks report profits rising 37.7% on year in January

KIEV, Feb. 12 - Ukrainian banks' reported a profit of UAH 600 million in January, which is 37.7% more than during the same period last year (UAH 435.6 million), the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

Compared with the previous period, bank incomes grew by 49%, to UAH 4 billion, while expenditures rose by 39.6%, to UAH 3.3 billion.

Ukraine’s imports of European natural gas drop 28.3% to 1.84 Bcm in 2022

KYIV, Jan 10 – The supply of natural gas to Ukraine from the countries of the European Union in 2022 amounted to 1.84 billion cubic meters, and it is 28.3% less than in 2021, according to the data of Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU).
