Ukraine’s Bioenergy Association asks regulator to suspend new regulation
KYIV, Feb 9 – The Bioenergy Association of Ukraine (UABIO) insists on the temporary suspension for biogas and biomass stations of the energy regulator NEURC resolution No. 178 dated January 24 on the conclusion of new contracts with the state-owned enterprise Guaranteed Buyer to preserve its obligations to purchase green electricity, since its standards cannot be fulfilled, and the industry faces bankruptcy because of this, said the head of the association, Heorhiy Heletukha.

DTEK Energy plans to import additional 30,000m of coal from Poland
KYIV, Feb 12 – At the height of the heating season, DTEK Energy contracted an additional 30,000 tons of imported coal.
“Thus, the total volume of imported fuel contracted by the company for the entire autumn-winter period increased to 400,000 tons,” the energy holding said in a press release.

Moody's changes to ‘stable’ from ‘negative’ outlook on Kyiv, Kharkiv
KYIV, Feb 12 - Moody's Investors Service has changed the outlooks to stable from negative for both the city of Kyiv and city of Kharkiv, at the same time, Moody's affirmed the Caa3 foreign and domestic currency long-term issuer ratings of both cities as well as their caa3 Baseline Credit Assessments (BCAs)," the agency said on its website.

USDA now sees higher Ukraine’s corn exports at 22.5-mln mt in 2022/2023
KYIV, Feb 9 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in its February report increased the forecast for corn exports from Ukraine in the 2022/2023 marketing year (MY, July-June) by 2 million tons compared to January data, to 22.5 million tons from 20.5 million tons, and wheat by 500,000 tons, to 13.5 million tons from 13 million tons.

Naftogaz insists gas transit deal with Gazprom must comply with EU rules
KYIV, Feb 11 – Executive Officer of the Naftogaz Group Yuriy Vitrenko has reaffirmed the position of the Ukrainian side on signing a contract with Russia's Gazprom on gas transit shipments after 2019 based on European rules and with unconditional implementation of the awards by the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. |
