Government may bring in consultants to organize Ukrtelecom sale

LONDON, March 11 - The Ukrainian government is considering the possibility of bringing in consultants to organize the sale of Ukrtelecom, First Deputy Economics Minister Anatoliy Maksyuta told journalists on the sidelines of the Ukrainian Investment Summit in London.

KIEV, March 12 - Ukraine's Universalna Insurance Company sold its 9.99% stake in Universal Bank, both of which are based in Lviv, to Greece's Eurobank EFG for UAH 25 million ($5 million), Universalna said.

The company sold the stake so that it could concentrate its resources on the development of insurance activities, including to expand its sales network, Universalna general director Natalya Bezbakh said, according to Interfax-Ukraine.

KYIV, Feb 12 – Ukraine scored 35 out of 100 points on the 2024 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), 1 point less compared to 2023. In a recent study by Transparency International, Ukraine ranks 105th out of 180 countries (104th in 2023).


USDA reduces Ukraine’s 2024-2025 wheat exports forecast to 15.5-mln mt

KYIV, Feb 12 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has adjusted the forecast for Ukraine's wheat exports for the 2024/2025 marketing year (MY, July 2024 - June 2025) and reduced it by 500,000 tons, to 15.5 million tons, and corn - by 1 million tons, to 22 million tons.
